NMSC Commended and Outstanding Students

Hampton High School is very pleased to share that we have 4 seniors who have been named a Commended Students in the
2013 National Merit Scholarship Program. Only 34,000 out of 1.5 million students who took the 2011 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT) earned the Commended Student recognition.

 

Each of these students, Thomas Cleckner, Raven Edgerton, Adriana Negron, and Alexandria Rodgers, earned this recognition.

 









Additionally, HHS is very excited to announce that an HHS senior, Ashlei Johnson, has been recognized a 2013 National Achievement Program Outstanding Participant.  T
hese students’ names and tentative college major choices is begin sent to about 1,500 colleges and universities. 

She is among 3,100 Outstanding Participants being referred to U.S. colleges and universities. Students recognized as outstanding scored in the top 3 percent of more than 160,000 African American students who took the PSAT/NMSQT. A roster with
